My journey to film and animation, and creativity in general, was a very strange one. I grew up as a complete athlete. Somewhat a jock, I played multiple sports from baseball, basketball, soccer and cross country. So the world of film and animation has always been a big inspiration for me, but I was never able to fully engrossed myself in it because I had no time whatsoever. It was always in the background of my life. So by the time I got to college and all my sports had come to a close, I was left somewhat confused as to what my next step is. I knew film was what I liked but had no clue what to do until I took an animation course, and that changed my life forever. A whole world was opened up to me, the creativity that the animation medium grants to this day brings a big smile to my face. Nothing is stopping you from bringing your vision to life on the computer, only time and skills. I have so many ideas I want to tell, and animation gives me the opportunity to do so. I can create the visions I have, the worlds I can build, and the characters I can design. Through my stories I want to open up the animation industry to whole new genres, not just comedy or adventure. We can use the medium for horror movies, drama, suspense, some of these have been made, but not in the limelight it deserves. What I want to do is bring to life these worlds and characters that were once only able to exist in our minds. To push the animation medium in a positive direction and showcasing just how important this medium really is. The steps have already been made before me, and I plan to take the next ones with just as much confidence and bravery
